Sophia
Trained Newborn Care Specialist, Night Nanny
“Witnessing the bond between a mother and her newborn is precious. The first couple months postpartum can be challenging, and being able to offer an extra hand in making it a little less stressful brings me such joy. ”
a brief bio
Sophia is a born and raised Rhode Islander, runner, and early childhood advocate. These three elements are what Sophia challenges herself everyday to be better at, constantly learning and expanding knowledge on. Nannying has been a part of her story for many years — she has been a full time nanny since 2018, but learned her true passion is providing tender loving care to newborns and new mamas. She believes running gives her a healthy mind, soul and body, all very important when working with our Baby Bloom families. She aims to be an advocate for each family she works with to offer sound advice and a comforting presence in each families’ home.
“When I am not soothing your precious newborn to sleep, you can find me running a marathon!”

RECENT WORK EXPERIENCE
AYB Family - Twins
Working with multiples is where I feel I shine most. For this family , I was able to offer them a few nights during the busy holiday season. I helped by making sure laundry was washed, folded and organized. And partnered with parents to implement a developmentally appropriate and sustainable feeding routine throughout the day and night.
DD Family
Supported new parents as they brought their little girl home! As new parents often are, they were thrilled but somewhat terrified to navigate life with their little one — with a bit of guidance, education, and emotional support they eased into their new role with grace and expertise. I provided tips on how to maximize sleep time in the crib and within a weeks time working with them, their little one was loving the crib and sleeping for 3-4hr stretches!
HM Family
At just about one week old I had the pleasure of assisting new parents as they transitioned to a family of three. My number one priority with this case was to offer an extra set of hands and a listening ear to this new postpartum mama.
JC Family
Assisted and supported parents as they welcomed baby number 3! L was sweet and spunky (it’s amazing how their personalities shine, even from day one!). But after a bit of consistency and routine, we began to see 7-8 hour stretches of sleep throughout the night. Offered bottle feedings, laundry, washed and sterilized bottle and pump parts throughout the night.
