Tyler Grimes has enhanced the lives of young children and their families since 2009. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked as a preschool educator for over five years. Tyler has a knack for creating a non-judgmental and supportive environment in combination with creating a partnership with the parents in setting and achieving goals for their children. Her focus is to build the path to your family’s health, happiness and harmony.
As an Advanced Certified Newborn Care Specialist, she brings her love and compassion to one of the most critical and challenging times in a new mother’s life. Tyler understands that no two babies, mothers, or family dynamics are the same — she uses her attunement to assess what is needed in each unique situation. Her experience includes traveling to various destinations working with newborns, twins, preemies, and conditions such as reflux and colic. Tyler’s calming and diligent approach allows her clients to feel safe and at ease, relieving much of the stress that new mothers so often experience. When a new mother is well-rested and relaxed, they have less postpartum difficulties, and a smoother transition not only for them but for the family as a whole.
In August 2024, Tyler welcomed her daughter, Campbell, into the world — an experience that profoundly deepened her respect and care for mothers. Living through the realities of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum gave her a firsthand understanding of the challenges women face, including her own challenging journey through an unexpected NICU stay and struggles during the postpartum period. She openly acknowledges that society does not always set mothers up for success, and this lived experience has become an integral part of her work. Tyler brings this authenticity into every family she supports, knowing not only the professional side of newborn care but also the raw, emotional, and deeply human side of motherhood.
Tyler Grimes serves as Secretary of the Newport Birthing Center Community Coalition and is a member of both the Newport Hospital Community Council and Grant Committee. Her advocacy extends beyond perinatal and newborn care, with a particular passion for supporting women who have survived domestic abuse, single mothers, and mothers experiencing homelessness. Tyler is committed to strengthening community resources and helping ensure that women and families—especially those navigating vulnerable circumstances—feel supported, heard, and connected to the care they deserve.
“When I’m not soothing your sweet newborn to sleep, you can find me sipping on an iced chai latte (it’s the little things) while chasing my girl around the playground!”
